This week we finish our discussion of Slam Bidding Philosophy with a look at two very different approaches to how we use bidding space. We will examine (mostly) Game Forcing auctions and look at our agreements with partner in these auctions. We will focus on the meaning of jumps to game and the different styles that are played by different players. We will compare Fast Arrival (where jumps are generally weak) with Picture Bids (where jumps show a specific kind of hand) and see on which kinds of hand each has an advantage.
