(66) Defensive Concepts: Partnership Defense Philosophies

Hey All -

We're pleased to announce another way for you to enjoy the Online Lesson Series on our website.  We've sorted all of the lessons by level - Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced - so that you can quickly glance at a level and see what lessons there you might like to read, read again, or recommend to your partners and friends! The OLS by Level can be found here:  http://www.advinbridge.com/ols-by-level/  and has the same password as the Archives, "Stayman."  (Capital "S" important!)

We continue our discussion of Defense with a transition to a different focus.  The topics that we are discussing this month could have been presented prior to last month.  One is not a prerequisite for the other, but we decided to lay down a foundation for communicating with partner first (Signaling) and concepts of defense (Active vs. Passive) before we began the discussion of specific details of defending.

O1.   Partnership Defense Philosophies
O2.  Opening Leads - Card Combinations and more...
O3.  Opening Leads - Listen to the Auction
O4.  Opening Leads - Leads in Partner's Suit

This week's lesson on Partnership Defense Philosophies is a focus on some general defensive concepts that we want to make sure we have in agreement with partner.

As always, I hope you enjoy the lessons and feel free to email us with comments or questions.  If you have friends that you think would enjoy being added to the email list either send us their email or have them get in touch with us.

Take Care,
Robert
