Hi Everyone -
It was great to see lots of old friends in Vero Beach this past weekend. I’m always impressed by the facilities there! For this coming week I’m also excited to be part of the “Grand Opening” of the new Duncan Bridge Center in Palm Desert, CA as well as teaching in NC and TX before heading to the cruise out of Galveston.
For our March bridge lessons, we turn our focus on defense. Though we start our discussions this month within the context of Upside-Down Count & Attitude, most of what we are talking about applies similarly to standard carding as well. We discuss it in terms of Upside-Down because those are the players that have the most mix-ups on these “other” types of count.

This week we look at the concept of Remainder Count and discuss how to use this to communicate our number of “remaining” cards to partner. This can be vital information in helping them defend a hand.
